I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs :)

1.  I'm still on my inspirational quote kick!

2.  I created a Summarizing Pinterest Board.  Please feel free to follow.  Summarizing is something that I work on all year with students.

3.  My new favorite tv show is House Hunters Off the Grid.  My only requirement is running water.
Here is an example of an "off the grid" house :)

4.  We've been working on assessments (like crazy).  These are some pre-k and k ones we are using right now.

We've been working on our cvc word families in one of my kindergarten groups!  We worked on the  short "a" word families last week.  I created an assessment pack to help me determine who is ready to move on and who still needs more practice.  The students are doing awesome!   There are some assessments that mix up the different vowels and students have to distinguish between all the vowels.

If you've purchased my Phonics and Phonemic Awareness Bundle, please download the file again to get the new assessment pack!   The new assessment pack can also be purchased by itself.

It is a great way to monitor students' progress on blending and reading cvc words.

I'm linking up with Doodle Bugs!

1.  My children are REALLY hoping that the Easter Bunny brings Frozen!  I think it would be fun, but I sure hope all of our frozen weather is gone!!!!

2.   We had snow on Sunday night/Monday morning!  CRAZY!  Look at these tulips...

3.  I've been on an inspirational quote quest...here are my recent favorites!

4.  My son's new favorite book...

5.    I hope everyone has a great weekend with their families!  I hope all the teachers get a well-deserved break and start next week excited and refreshed! I'm hoping to relax and enjoy my favorite people, and not spend too much time doing work!!!

Linking up with Doodle Bugs!

1.  I cannot wait for stationary to arrive from Doodle Bugs!!!   I will graduate in May, and I've already had a few people send me sweet gifts, so I wanted to get some pretty stationary for thank you notes :)

I had a quote put on the notecard under the polka dots:  "Optimism is the faith that leads to achievement."  ~ Helen Keller

2.  I finally wore sandals one day this week, and my feet were cold!  I need the weather to stay consistently warm :)

3.  I've discussed our bookroom many times on this blog.  In February I completed an audit.  I was short books H-L and O-Z non-fiction.  I found some great books at Capstone Publishing.  I think the students will love this set!

4.  One of my coworkers gave me this scarf for my birthday!  I LOVE IT! We don't have a Francesca in our town, but she found it in the "big city."  :)

5.  I loved Mrs. Willis' Blog post today!  Great for setting writing goals!!!  I think I may need to set some personal goals to stay motivated.  I feel a little like I have Senioritis :)

I'm updating items in my TPT store.  Please make sure you download the updated file.

First up... Word Work

I've updated quite a few files with new fonts and graphics, and I've added two new interactive notebooks to the file! Short Vowel Interactive Notebook and Long Vowel Interactive Notebook.
My next two in line for spring cleaning are:  First Grade Bundle, Kindergarten Bundle.

I think my kindergarten groups will like this!  Thanks to Premeditated Leftovers for the idea on Pinterest :)
